Our Classes
Zumba w/Bernice - Powderhorn Park Every Mon and Wed, 6:30-7:30 pm
Zumba Fitness® is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a "fitness-party" that is downright addictive.
Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has grown to become the world's largest – and most successful – dance-fitness program with more than 14 million people of all shapes, sizes, and ages taking weekly Zumba classes in over 140,000 locations across more than 150 Countries.
Bernice Arias, licensed Zumba instructor since 2006, was inspired by her Zumba instructor to teach. Hesitant at first, because she didn’t feel she fit the “picture” of a fitness instructor, she accepted the opportunity and has never regretted it. It's about being healthy and dancing is healthy for the body AND soul.
Yoga w/Dallas - Powderhorn Park Every Sat morning 9:30-10:30 am

Yoga aims to create harmony between body, breath, and mind. The physical asana practice cares for the muscular, skeletal, respiratory, endocrine, lymphatic, and nervous systems. Yoga is also about relationships - to oneself, others, and the greater world.
Dallas Rising has been teaching vinyasa yoga for two years. She’d practiced on and off for over a decade and had never thought about becoming a yoga instructor until former OIBY yoga instructor, Akoni, suggested she do teacher training. She ended up teaching his OIBY class when he and his partner moved to another city. She’s grateful for his encouragement and life-changing advice.
